I followed your prediction and moved some of my BTC into USDT with 12% APY. If it goes down to 34K successfully, not only will I get the USD interest rate, but the number of BTC will increase. Because eventually it will rise above the current price again. If it doesn't work out, the number of BTC will decrease, but the higher interest rate will offset this somewhat. Currently, the price is higher than the price transferred to USDT, but I will see how it goes for a while.
Good point that the ETF’s are just another vehicle with a buy and sell button.
Of course we don’t know yet if these particular buyers will act any differently. Less buying and selling? More buying and selling?
What we can ascertain is that the etf buyers have only purchased since 1/11/24 (inception of ETF’s), and are probably not selling anywhere near to the same degree as those pre ETF buyers, since the ETF buyers recently bought, and thus would not bring the prices down ‘at this time’.
