In the last Bitcoin Data Newsletter Premium, I talked about my expectations for 2024.
We hammered in the overheated data across the board which suggested that Bitcoin may not be primed to move much past 45k.
Since then, surrounding ETF news, price has managed to achieve my original expectations of a top in January around 47 - 49k.
We don’t know that this will be the firm top yet, but we have seen a sizeable decline from those prices of about 15%.
Looking back at our expectations from October 2023, some of the expectations played out extremely well.
Let’s take a look at some pieces from a newsletter then: “History Calls for $48,000”:
This was my projection from the newsletter then using intra-cycle sine waves.
It has so far played out uncannily well:
This is the exact chart unaltered since October 2023.
The timings of each local high have followed the green path almost exactly.
We also used Fibonacci retraces to determine the move to $48,600 while Bitcoin was at just 35:
The Fibonacci level has now been perfectly met here.
There were other various projections and pieces I covered that brought us to the $48,000 conclusion, again you can read that article here.
Data in December then became overheated a bit early, which led to my 45k call. We’ll go over why I believe data had this large discrepancy in today’s newsletter.
In the end, things seem to have turned out much more simple than I anticipated and have played right out to my previous thoughts.
Price points for the mid-top have now been met.
For this newsletter, I wanted to take the time to dissect a singular topic, when and at what price can we buy Bitcoin next?
I have not been in favor of buying for many months now, but I do think you’ll get another opportunity.
