ETFs vs The Norm

Bitcoin Data Newsletter

Hello Everyone!

In this week’s video, I’ll be talking about two of my posts from X on the Golden Ratio Multiplier and The MVRV-Z Score.

I’ll also be taking a look at the lastest ETF data as that has become a hot topic!

It is important to me to remain logical, when our space has become completely over-zealous.

Quick Summary

  • As Bitcoin hits ATH prices, it is apparent that the crypto space’s heads are in the clouds, filled with greed. This makes it ever more important to maintain a logical perspective

  • I am not calling for any sort of topping point, even though it is possible, because I am remaining open to the idea that ETFs are creating addtional buying pressure that veers us from normal cycle timing

  • ETF data shows that Friday was net negative for outflows at about 39 million.

  • Excluding our normal selling pressure from GBTC and buying from IBIT, it seems that a few other ETFs were the cause of the negative inflows like ARKB and BTCO

  • Whether or not ETFs continue to impact price remains to be seen, but especially in the event of new ATHs being made soon it seems that is likely

  • I am waiting for new ATHs before I start to make inferences about when the cycle top will arrive. I think that is a pivotal moment where we can base firm ideas from

  • We are nearing the cycle top band of the Golden Ratio Multiplier. While I don’t think it will mark a cycle top, because of lack of other evidence, I do think it is interesting to share because of its accuracy

  • All mid-tops have also come at the same cycle top layer priced at 67,500. This is not a call for the mid-top, but an observation of prior points

  • Mid-top data has proved to be very un-unanimous this cycle, while typically it all lines up near perfectly

  • I do not suggest selling or trading any mid-cycle points. The only reason I talk about the mid-top is to discuss cycle timing and prepare for potential buying opportunities for those who need them

  • The MVRV-Z has finally reached the mid-top red zone. This, the golden ratio multiplier, and a few other indicators that have now fired are the last to call for a mid-top

  • I am preparing myself for whatever comes next and remaining open to all short-term possibilities while I wait to come to larger conclusions about cycle timing
