Welcome to the first ever Altcoin Data Newsletter Premium. This newsletter if you haven’t read from my most recent post, is all about Altcoins and will be released on the off weeks of the Bitcoin Data Newsletter Premium. I’m super excited to get into this!
Most of you will have fresh on your mind the events of early June this year, when it was announced the SEC would be suing both Binance and Coinbase, declaring many altcoins as securities.
Most major Altcoins saw a drop of 30-40% on the release of this news, and it makes sense, because it’s a big deal.
When this happened, I was encouraging people to buy Bitcoin, but especially altcoins during the time. These events bring massive opportunity, many times that are never seen again. An excerpt from my newsletter then, “Technically speaking, Altcoins are bottomed out. If I were looking to purchase Altcoins, I think now is the most optimal time, given the rampant fear and technical reasons.” You can read the full article here.
This turned out to be the correct play, in light of some major news for XRP, and I would argue, all crypto. XRP in its long-standing case was ruled not a security, this implies the same for other altcoins.
With this announcement the cloud was lifted, and many alts recovered their losses from the events. I believe this ruling was key for altcoins to make a true recovery.
